The basics
It takes picture files and hands you back a Word document. Every image gets a page of its own, and the page is exactly as large as the image in pixels. There is no fixed A4 sheet and no white padding around the edges.
The output is a real .docx you can open in Word, Pages or Google Docs. That makes an image-to-Word conversion useful for photo books, scanned paperwork, comic pages and whiteboard photos: anything you would rather flip through as one file than open one picture at a time.

PNG is embedded as is, pixel for pixel. Screenshots, scans and line art keep every sharp edge, since nothing is re-encoded.
Word cannot embed WebP, so the tool re-encodes it as PNG first. This happens in your browser, and the image comes through visually identical.
DOCX stores still images, so an animated GIF keeps its first frame. The frame lands in the document at full quality and original size.
Uncompressed BMP files are embedded directly. Expect a heavier document, because BMP bytes are bulky by nature.
Know the difference
Most converters that rank for image to Word are OCR tools. They read the pixels, guess the text, and rebuild your picture as editable paragraphs. That is the right job when you need to edit the words, but it changes the content: fonts shift, layouts collapse, and a misread digit on a receipt becomes a real problem.
This tool does something simpler and more predictable. Your image goes into the Word document as an image, on a page built to its exact pixel size. Nothing is interpreted, so nothing can be misread. What you see in the picture is exactly what prints.
If you need to edit the text inside a picture, run it through an OCR tool first. If you need the picture itself in a Word file, you are already in the right place.

Why it works
Each Word page is created at the same pixel size as its image, mapped at 96 dpi. At 100% zoom, Word shows exactly the picture you started with.
The conversion runs in your browser tab. Images are never uploaded or stored anywhere. The only caps, 50 MB per image and 500 images per document, exist to keep the tab responsive, not to meter a server.

The format
DOCX is an open standard, Office Open XML, not a locked Microsoft format. Word opens it, but so do Pages, Google Docs, LibreOffice and WPS, on desktops and on phones. Sending an image to DOCX file is about as universal as documents get.
Inside the file, your pictures are stored as their original bytes. You can pull any image back out of the document later, adjust margins, add captions between pages, or drop the file into OneDrive and share a link. It is a container you keep control of.
